Niet vanwege zijn technische vaardigheden, maar vanwege zijn rauwe energie, zijn houding en zijn iconische aanwezigheid binnen de Sex Pistols. Zijn stem, zijn uitstraling en zijn levensstijl maakten hem tot een symbool van pure, ongefilterde punk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sid was geen muzikant die je beoordeelt op perfectie. Hij was een fenomeen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Jeugd en Beginjaren<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sid Vicious werd geboren als John Simon Ritchie in 1957 in Londen. Hij groeide op in moeilijke omstandigheden, met veel verhuizingen en instabiliteit. In de vroege jaren zeventig raakte hij bevriend met John Lydon, die hem de bijnaam \u201cSid Vicious\u201d gaf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sid werd onderdeel van de Londense punkscene, waar zijn stijl en persoonlijkheid hem al snel op lieten vallen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Doorbraak met de Sex Pistols (1977-1978)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Toen Glen Matlock de Sex Pistols verliet, werd Sid Vicious gevraagd als bassist.
